An econometric difference-in-differences study measuring wage and employment effects across native and migrant labor cohorts in Chicago following the 2023 migrant arrival. Conducted in partnership with the Niskanen Center; results presented at the Paul Douglas Institute Spring Symposium.
Consulted for the Economic Policy Institute on PFMLA policy modelling. Developed proxy indicators using Current Population Survey microdata to estimate public awareness of the Family Medical Leave Act across Southern States.
Built a survival hazard model for the U.S. Census Bureau to estimate business closure rates in Illinois, using XGBoost on administrative microdata.
